Approaching Alzheimer's Persons

· Use a calming tone of voice.
· Try to maintain eye contact.
· Identify yourself.
· Ask "yes" or "no" questions.
· Speak slowly, and not too loudly.
· Allow plenty of time for a response.
· Stay calm.
· Be supportive and reassuring.
