Approaching Alzheimer’s Persons
• Use a calming tone of voice.
• Try to maintain eye contact.
• Identify yourself.
• Ask “yes” or “no” questions.
• Speak slowly, and not too loudly.
• Allow plenty of time for a response.
• Stay calm.
• Be supportive and reassuring.
